Hey there! We’re the family behind The Blue Ridge Playhouse, and we’re excited to share a bit about ourselves with you.

I’m Amy, and this is my husband Travis, along with our two adventurous boys, Jack and Chase.

We’re just a regular family with big dreams of traveling and owning a business. In 2024, we took a leap of faith and bought a vacation home in Asheville.

It’s a special place where we hope our boys can grow up, and when we’re not soaking up its charm ourselves, we love sharing it with others as a vacation rental.

As new hosts, we weren’t entirely sure what to expect, but we’ve enjoyed playing a part in creating wonderful vacation memories for our guests.

I handle a lot of the communication and logistics, while Travis works his magic with system automation.

Travis grew up in the piedmont of North Carolina, so he enjoys visiting the Carolinas. I went to school in Austin and loved how artsy it is… the first time visiting Asheville it felt like Austin with mountains! 

So it was a special place for us and led us to want to invest in this fun city and provide a space where people get rest / retreat – with or without their kids 🙂

Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned vacationer, we’re here to make your experience enjoyable and memorable. No matter where you’re from, we want you to feel right at home.

Hosting isn’t always easy, but we put our hearts into creating an escape worth returning to. We want to extend a huge thank you to all of you who have stayed at The BR Playhouse, loved it, and hopefully plan to visit again and again!
